Mr Men Vitamins

  • Project: Branding and New Website

Oscar + Dehn market a range of exciting and innovative first aid and healthcare products for kids.

The Brief

To promote a new range of Mr Men vitamins and to inform parents of the benefits a multi vitamin could have in a child’s diet.

The Solution

We created a specific website to promote the Mr Men Vitamins range and  to work alongside a public relations, social media and blogging campaign. The website acted as an online information source, a point of reference for parents who had seen the press and blogger coverage and wanted further information on the products.

The website was not only designed to be uniquely Mr Men quirky but also to be highly informative and interactive.

The website contained practical and relevant information from a leading nutritionist on diet and health in children. So a range of posters was commissioned based on a Mr Men character each promoting the benefits of children eating their five a day.

Because these were only available from the micro website parents were encouraged to sign up to the website with their email and contact details in order to not only win unique Mr Men products but to also get access to the posters as well as information sheets and activities emphasising the benefits of eating a healthy diet and leading an active lifestyle.

The Success

The micro website and the posters proved a big success and as they could only be downloaded from the website parents readily registered on the website to down load the educational material.

This meant that through data capture a database of interested parties was quickly built up and as part of the sign up they were automatically sent a monthly e-newsletter which allowed them to enter exclusive Mr Men competitions and win other related Oscar + Dehn products.

The e-newsletter also suggested interesting things parents could do with their kids such as following healthy recipes and fun days out to particular local attraction.

The e-newsletter was regularly being sent out each month to a database of over 3,000 parents and the number of sign ups continued to increase month by month.

The Technology

In addition to designing, maintaining and hosting the website, we also developed a customised content management system (CMS) that allowed the client to quickly and easily update all the information on the website.

  • Interactive website design
  • Bespoke content management system (CMS)
  • Member log in areas
  • E-newsletter marketing functionality
  • Social Media
  • Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
