Henry Brothers Construction

  • Project: Tender brochure design

The Brief

With a construction project value of £4.2million, The House of Commons asked Henry Brothers to prepare a Schedule of Works document for the refurbishment of the Grade II listed building at 6/7 Old Palace Yard.  The refurbishment sought to reduce the running costs and carbon footprint of the building, as well as fulfilling Parliament’s public duty of care to maintain the architectural and historical significance of the building.

The Solution

Yellow Hats in close consultation with Henry Brothers established that a key emphasis of the construction project had to be geared towards a careful and considerate approach to this delicate refurbishment project, especially given the historical significance of this landmark building.

As well as devising the blue plaque identity for the building, Yellow Hats created a project theme around the copyline “Gently Does It”, with imagery of Henry Brothers’ construction workers showing a sensitive approach to their work.

The Success

We also established the generic “History in the Making” slogan for Henry Brothers, promoting the construction company as a specialist in the refurbishment of landmark buildings with architectural and historical significance.
