Quercus

  • Project: Branding Identity

Background

With bestselling authors such as Stieg Larsson, Peter Mayle and Jeanette Winterson, Quercus is a leading publisher of commercial fiction and non-fiction in digital and print formats.

With offices in London and New York, this forward thinking company has been twice-winner of the Independent Publisher of the Year.

Our Solution

We proposed this design to provide Quercus with a visual brand that projected its commercial success and standing. The tail of the ‘Q’ flourishes with a quercus oakleaf, symbolic of the success manifested by the company.

The logo is visually strong and identifiable on book spines and is extended to provide a secondary branding devise for use on marketing and promotional material, portraying a visual uniformity across all Quercus products.

Old Street Publishing
