Disney Multi Vitamins

  • Project: New Product Launch

US Nutrition – the world’s largest distributors of vitamins and nutritional supplements.

The Brief

To promote and support the launch of US Nutrition’s range of Disney Multi Vitamins character themed Gummies (already successfully launched in America) and to be sold in a range of Boots and Holland and Barrett stores throughout the UK.

The Solution

We created a specific website to run alongside the PR and social media campaign. The website was designed to be heavily Disney branded but to also to be fun and informative.

The website was to be a point of reference for parents who would see the ongoing press and blogger coverage and wanted further information and details of where to buy the product.

A range of exclusive posters, activity sheets, giveaways, competitions and wall charts were created which were only available via the website.

Parents were encouraged to sign up to the website with their email and contact details in order to not only win unique Disney Multi Vitamin character themed Gummies products but to also gain access to the exclusive online material.

The Success

As the exclusive activity materials, competitions and products could only be downloaded from the website parents readily registered their details, especially throughout the summer holidays as parents looked for things to keep their kids busy, when downloads from the website over this period hit the thousands.

The data capture on the website enabled a database to be quickly built up and as part of the sign up parents were regularly sent a monthly e-newsletter to promote further US Nutrition products.

After the initial launch, the campaign was rolled out to mummy bloggers with Mickey Mouse ears as gifts, and reviews were posted, driving traffic to the website competitions and downloads.

Once the database was sufficiently established, we used it on an ongoing basis both to carry out product based research amongst parents, and also as a tool to survey parents for newsworthy media hooks for ongoing PR and blogger work.

Boots then also listed the range exclusively both instore and online.

The Technology

In addition to designing, maintaining and hosting the website, we also developed a customised content management system (CMS) that allowed the client to quickly and easily update all the information on the website.
