As it is the World Cup this month we are very excited about watching all the games so we thought we would add these posters on the blog as we love the colours and the simplicity of the geometric designs.
The posters are the work of a guy called André Chiote, a Portuguese artist, he created a series of illustrations featuring the World Cup’s most iconic stadiums.
Chiote believes that “the new architectural objects are landmarks in the cities that will perpetuate in the future as a cultural and social legacy”.
Chiote uses a simple colour palette, featuring Brazil’s national colours. Chiote says, “As a national statement, I thought it was an interesting approach to use the colours of Brazil’s flag to produce iconic images of some new symbols of that country.”
